School leader protocol
Please remember:
- You (the school) retain the overall duty of care for your young people, their pastoral care
- The providers lead the sessions, they are responsible for the nature and style of the activities
- School leader in observer, and learning support role
- To watch and take care of your group; support them between sessions, talk about the value of the key messages
- School leader in behaviour support role
- To watch and take care of your group; intervene only if you are unhappy with their behaviour or attitude
- School leader in pastoral care role
- To give feedback on the session, how successful they were and how they could be improved. Pass on any good ideas!
- Together we can make Think Safe a successful event!
Note: School leaders : teachers have the main duty of care - pastoral leader, supported by school support staff and possible other responsible adults (known parents, governors etc). One school leader per group is required for a successful venture.
