Safer Cyclist or Risky Rider... Which one are you?
Before you take to the road on your bike, you must make sure that you are properly prepared.
- Try to attend a Safer Cycling training course. Learn to ride correctly and how to handle traffic.
- Learn your Highway Code.
- Make sure that your bike is in full working order.
- Dress correctly. Don't let you clothes catch on the chain or any other moving parts.
- Always wear a cycling helmet.
- Make sure you can see and be seen - especially at night.
Look closely at the two cyclists. Which one do you think is the safer cyclist?
Try to spot the differences and think about the dangers.
